I started to work as a research assistant at this department (1997-2000) and at Chalmers University of Technology, Department of Transportation and Logistics (1998-1999).
In 1998 I was admitted to the graduate program and obtained my M.S. Sc. in psychology, 2001, and my Ph.D. in psychology, 2004. Since then I have been employed as a teacher and researcher. During the years 2006-2009, I also worked in a research project at the Centre for Consumer Science, School of business, economics and law, University of Gothenburg.
Currently I am the equality representative at this department and a member of the Equal Treatment Committee at the Faculty of Social Sciences (for more information about the equality work see http://www.gu.se/omuniversitetet/jamlikhet/).
I teach in several courses at both first- and second level, mainly social psychology, environmental psychology and personality psychology. I coordinate the course Personality and health (PC1205/PC1245) together with Anneli Goulding. I also supervise student essays.
I am a member of the Pedagogic development committee (Pedagogiska Utvecklingskommittén, PUK) a faculty resource working with pedagogic issues and seminars (for more information see http://www.samfak.gu.se/om_fakulteten/beredningsorgan_kommitteer/puk/)
My research interests are focused on factors such as values, norms, attitudes, motivation, volitional control etc. that partly predict and may play an important role for changing environmental significant behaviours, such as travel behaviour and household energy use. I am also interested in how such factors interplay with environmental policy-making, acceptability and implementation of policy measures.
Member of the area group Cognition, Motivation, and Social Psychology, and the research group Environmental Psychology Unit (EPU).
Current research project: Promoting environmental behaviour via feedback: Energy conservation in households. The main aim of this project is to contribute to better knowledge of how effective and lasting energy conservation behaviours can be achieved by focusing on intervention strategies and motivational processes. In collaboration with Andreas Nilsson (this department).
