My research focuses is on the psychological well-being of children with disabilities or chronic illnesses and their families. I am especially interested in the importance of risk and protective factors for the development of psychological health. I have a strong clinical interest and collaborate with habilitation centres and children’s hospitals. I’m chairing a nation wide group conducting a systematic literature review on evidence based parent-support. I also take part in interventions studies looking at effects of parental education intervention towards parents of children with communication delays and obesity. I have initiated a national network in paediatric psychology with the aim of creating long-term creative work integrating clinical practice and research, by finding ways to combine research and clinical work and initiating research in clinical settings.
