Environmental Psychology

Master's level, 15 credits, 50% day.

The aim of the course is to increase and deepen your knowledge of people's environmental choices and attitudes. In the course, we problematize and discuss the basic issue of why people in certain situations choose to act sustainable and in other situations do not.

The course covers key theories and methods used in current psychological research aimed at clarifying how human behavior and attitudes can be influenced in a more environmentally friendly way. The final part of the course consists of independent, in-depth studies on a selected real environmental problem.

Language: The course is taught in English.

Requirements: You do not need any previous knowledge in Psychology and the course may therefore be a suitable complement to educations in, for example, technology, economics or social studies. Although, for admission to the course, completion of university education of at last 180 credits at first cycle level is required.

If you are an EU/EEA citizen or have an approved residence permit in Sweden, you can now study psychology taught in English for a full semester. This course is possible to combine with Psychological Perspectives on Economic Behaviour. Please note that you have to apply to both of them. Welcome with your applications!
