About Kristina Holmqvist Gattario

Biography

Born 1981 in Ystad, Sweden. Ph.Lic. in Psychology 2008, the title of the thesis was “Body image across cultures and ethnic groups”.

Research interests

My main research interests are in the area of developmental psychology and concern the concepts of body image as well as bullying. Specifically, the focus of the research is on 1) the development of body image across adolescence, 2) cross-cultural differences in body image, 3) positive body image, and 4) bullying from the students’ own perspective.
