About Leif Strömwall

Biography

B.Sc in psychology 1996, Ph.D in psychology 2001. Associate professor 2007. Full-time member of faculty since 2008. Professor of psychology in 2014. Serves as the department's deputy head since 2013.

Teaching

I teach at and am responsible and co-responsible for courses at basic, advanced and doctorate levels in Legal and Investigative Psychology. In addition, I teach research methods and statistics at all levels. I supervise students at all levels.

Research interests

My research interest is legal and investigative psychology in general, more specifically deception detection, credibility assessments, interrogation techniques, victim-blaming and eyewitness psychology.

Current research

At present, I am the prinicpal investigator for a three-year project studying social psychological reasons for victim blaming.
