About Sara Landström

Biography

Born in 1980. B.Sc. in psychology 2003, Ph.D. in psychology 2008. Full-time member of Faculty as lecturer since 2011

Teaching

I am responsible for, and teach at Legal and Investigative Psychology (first cycle), Social Psychology (second cycle) and Interviewing child witnesses (third cycle). I supervise students at second and third cycle.

Research interests

My research interests concern reliability and credibility, victim-blaming, interview and interrogation methods, and legal decision making in cases of sexual abuse against pre-schoolers.

Member of the research unit for Criminal, Legal and Investigative Psychology (CLIP).

Current research

The Sequential Method: A Way to Improve the Quality of Forensic Interviews with Young Children? Financed by The Crime Victim Compensation and Support Authority during 2016-2018. Principal investigator: Sara Landström. PhD-student: Mikaela Magnusson. Collaborators: Dr Lucy Akehurst (University of Portsmouth) & Malin Joleby.

Sexual abuse against preschoolers: The prosecutor's knowledge and willingness to prosecute. Financed by the Swedish Research Council for Health, Workning life and Welfare (Forte) during 2014–2016. Principal investigator: Sara Landström. PhD-student: Emelie Ernberg. Collaborators: Professor Inga Tidefors & Malin Joleby.

Strategic regulation and reporting in the alibis of innocent and guilty suspects. Financed by the European Commission at University of Portsmouth, 2015-2018. Principal investigators: Lorraine Hope, Sara Landström och Karl Ask. PhD-student: Shiri Portnoy. Collaborators: Pär Anders Granhag
