About Therése Skoog

Therése Skoog is a PhD and Associate Professor of Psychology. She is a member of the Gothenburg Research unit on Youth development (GReY). She is also a member of the Lordia (Longitudinal Research on Development In Adolescence) research team, which is based at Jönköping University. In addition to the University of Gothenburg, she has a part time position as Associate Professor at the  Department of Psychology at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Trondheim, Norway since 2015. Between 2002 and 2017, Dr. Skoog was affiliated with Örebro University and Center for Developmental Research (CDR).

Dr. Skoog's is a developmental psychologist and her research focuses primarily on adolescent development and adjustment. She also conducts studies on preventive and promotive interventions, mainly in childhood and adolescence. Dr. Skoog collaborates with researchers from many different universities nationally and internationally. She is on the editorial boards of international, scientific journals (e.g. Journal of Youth and Adolescence) and has guest edited journal issues. She has published in some of the most influential Developmental Psychology journals (Child Development Perspectives, Journal of Research on Adolescence, Journal of Youth and Adolescence) and has peer reviewed for more than 15 international, scientific journals in Psychology, Pediatrics, and Public Health.

Dr. Skoog teaches and develops courses in Developmental Psychology, Methods, and Research Ethics at the bachelor, master, and doctoral levels. She supervises several PhD. students. She is appointed the title of exellent teacher and was awarded the titel best female teacher at Örebro University in 2014.
