About Erik Mac Giolla

Biography

B.A. in psychology and philosophy from NUI Galway, 2009. M.A. in philosophy from the University of Gothenburg, 2010. M.Sc. in psychology from the University of Gothenburg, 2013. PhD in pscyhology from the University of Gothenburg, 2016. 

Teaching

My primary teaching is on legal psychology courses at the departement of psychology.

Research interests

I have a broad interest in forensic psychology, and have been involved in projects within the themes of eyewitness psychology, deception detection, and investigative interviewing. My primary research area concerns the topic of true and false intentions.

I am currently involved in different projects on deception, true and false intentions, and victimology.
